MIRACLE 511 Seal & Enhance, 1-Quart
Product Description
Rejuvenate color and overall appearance of textured or polished stone and grout with ready-to-use formula that's done in in one easy step. Safe and effective Miracle Sealants 511 Seal & Enhance in a 1-quart bottle is a solvent based impregnating sealant for use on granite, quartz, marble, travertine, slate and limestone. Superior stain protection, oil and water resistant, non-yellowing. Enhances the color of grout sealer and revives washed-out grout. Can be used as grout release prior to grouting tiles. Interior and exterior applications. Has been used successfully for compliance with the American Disability Act's recommendations for slip resistance (ASTM C1028-89) on polished & honed surfaces.
For Use On: Tumbled, honed, acid-washed, sandblasted, flamed, textured and polished natural stone, brick, grout & clay pavers including Granite, Marble, Natural Stone, Slate, Limestone, Quarry Tile, Grout. Use for indoor and outdoor applications.
Coverage: Coverage ranges from 62 - 1000 square feet per quart depending on the type of surface to which it is applied. Reference coverage chart on the product label for a more detailed coverage chart.
Directions For Use:
Read entire label and PDS/MSDS before using. 511 Seal & Enhance should not be diluted or thinned in any way. Use as is direct from approved container.
New Installations
Sealing As a Grout Release: Apply 511 Seal & Enhance to all surfaces prior to grouting. 511 Seal & Enhance will resist dye absorption, facilitate grout residue removal (up to 45% faster), and offer superior stain resistance. Grout can stain many surfaces if this procedure is not used prior to the grouting process. Liberally apply 511 Seal & Enhance using a Mira Brush, a clean, white towel or natural fiber paint brush. Apply enough to wet the surface. Be careful not to saturate the open grout joints. Allow 511 Seal & Enhance to stand for approximately 3 - 5 minutes for maximum penetration. Any excess sealer remaining at this time should be removed by wiping the surface with a clean dry towel. Apply a 2nd application after the first is dry at least 1 hour. Any excess product that has dried on the surface may be removed by re-applying product and wiping excess off immediately while wet with a white terry cloth towel. Allow to cure for 6 - 12 hours before continuing with the grouting procedure per manufacturers specification.
After Grouting: Once grouted, make sure that all grout residue is removed from the surface and that grout has been allowed to dry according to grout manufacturer's recommended cure time.
Grout Sealing: Once the area has completely dried, proceed with the sealing of the grout for water and stain resistance. Apply 511 Seal & Enhance to all grout in the same manner that it was applied to stone surface including 2nd coat. Finished area should be allowed to cure for 12 - 24 hours before putting into service. For optimum results keep area dry and free from stains for 72 hours after application.
Existing Installations
Surface Preparation: Surface must be dry and free of contaminants, including previously applied sealers, dirt, lime & hard water deposits, efflorescence, rust & other heavy dirt and grime.
Floor Coating/Wax Removal: To remove existing coatings and/or waxes, use Mira Strip or Finish Sealer Stripper following the instructions carefully.
Heavy Duty Cleaning: To remove lime and hard water deposits, efflorescence, rust, grease and other heavy dirt and grime use Heavy Duty Acidic Cleaner or Phosphoric Acid Cleaner as directed. For a non-acid deep clean use Liquid Poultice as directed. All strippers and/or cleaners should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water and the surface allowed to dry.
Sealing Existing Surfaces: Follow the application instructions previously mentioned,except now, seal the grout and tile or stone surfaces at the same time. When treating surfaces together, make sure that the recessed grout is saturated. Do not allow product to puddle on the surface.
Light Cleaning: Use Tile & Stone Cleaner as directed.
