Aqua Mix Grout Colorant Kits come with everything you need to address dirty grout in your bathroom or kitchen. The easy-to-apply DIY grout colorant is designed to cover up old grout that has become dingy, stained or discolored. It features a durable waterborne epoxy formula that seals, recolors and rejuvenates your existing grout joints. It's also designed to help simplify ongoing grout cleaning by helping to guard your grout against stains thanks to the built-in sealer and protector and is formulated with antimicrobial protection that prevents the growth of mold and mildew that can cause staining on cured colorant. 1877FloorGuy can assist you with finding the appropriate Aqua Mix colorant for your needs.
Each Aqua Mix Grout Colorant Kit from 1877FloorGuy includes an 8-ounce bottle of Aqua Mix Pre-Treatment Cleaner, an 8-ounce bottle of Aqua Mix Grout Colorant, a grout brush and a scrub pad. You'll need to remove previously applied sealants before applying to ensure a proper bond. For the best results, we recommend doing your best to keep the colorant in the grout lines, covering the existing grout with the new color. If the colorant gets onto the adjacent tiles, you can simply wipe it off with a dampened cloth or use the white scrub pad and water. You should always follow the included instructions and reference the Aqua Mix Grout Colorant Color Chart for the best results.
Once your grout colorant is fully cured, it's permanent and will withstand routine use as long as it has been properly applied and cared for with routine cleaners. Remember, never use solvent-based cleaners on recolored grout lines. There are some limitations and special instructions for specific types of tile, so make sure to fully read the label and instructions prior to use. We also recommend testing for compatibility in a small, inconspicuous area before full application. Each kit will cover between 70 to 450 square feet depending on the size of the floor tiles and the width of the grouted tile joints that will be covered with colorant. Reference the Aquamix Grout Colorant Chart to calculate how many kits or bottles of colorant you will need to cover the grout lines on your floor.
1877FloorGuy also offers Aqua Mix Grout Colorant Pre-Treatment Cleaner and Aqua Mix Grout Colorant sold on their own rather than part of a kit. You can find these products in our Aqua Mix Grout Colorant department.
