You have chosen one of the best pre-finished flooring in the industry. Mercier suggests some useful tips to help you protect the beauty of your Mercier floor for years to come.

Protecting your investment has never been so easy!

Wipe up spilled water, liquids, or detergents immediately, before they are absorbed by the wood fibres.

If you have a sticky mess (ice cream, milk, juice …), wipe up with a lightly humid rag and immediately wipe dry with a dry cloth.

You don’t want any water to remain on the wood or to penetrate into the V-joints. Then clean with Mercier clean

Mercier has products specially designed to clean and protect your pre-finished floor. Normal maintenance of your Mercier floor is fast and easy. Just follow these two steps.

Step 1

The best way to protect your wood floors is to vacuum regularly. The vacuum cleaner removes dust and abrasive substances from the surface.

Step 2

Spray a small quantity of Mercier cleaner on your Mercier mop and swab a section of floor in the same direction as the floorboards. Continue until the entire floor is done. Wash mop covers as required. DO NOT SPRAY CLEANER DIRECTLY UNTO THE FLOOR.

Warning

Never use wax, household detergent, or oil-based soap on the floor. These products may discolour and damage the finish and leave a greasy film, making the floor slippery and difficult to maintain afterwards. The greasy film may also make it impossible to apply a restorer coat. Mixtures of water and vinegar are not recommended for cleaning pre-finished flooring, since vinegar has an oxidizing effect on the finish.
