Slipnomor Additive Safety Data Sheet, Slipnomor ASTM Slip Resistance Test

Dr. Schutz Slipnomor Additive is added to Waxnomor to increase slip-resistance to meet all ADA requirements.

Slipnomor comes in 330g size only. (Image shows Slipnomor with a container of Waxnomor however these items are purchased separately.)

Directions for Use:

Prepare floor following same directions as for Waxnomor.


Slipnomor Addititive is applied with first coat of Waxnomor. Aggressively shake the canisters containing the Waxnomor Finish and the Cross Linker. Pour the contents of the Slipnomor additive (330 g) package into the Waxnomor Finish using a clean/dry 5-gallon bucket for mixing and carefully mix by using a basket mixing tool with a drill. After mixing, add Cross linker to the Waxnomor Finish with Slipnomor additive and carefully mix all three components in the 5 gallon bucket. Mix thoroughly with drill attached mixing basket. If partial quantities are mixed, always mix Waxnomor Finish and Cross Linker using a ratio of 10:1 (10 parts waxnomor to 1 part Cross Linker) and reducing Slipnomor additive accordingly. Room and working temperature: 60 – 75 degree F.
After mixing the Waxnomor, Slipnomor Additive and Cross Linker it is easiest to pour the mixture into a clean paint roller tray and roll out the Waxnomor mixture evenly over the floor using the Dr. Schutz MicroFiber Roller. Begin work on the side with the primary incoming source of light (as a rule this is the side of the room where there is a window) and work away from the incoming light source. This technique will enable the applicator to identify puddles, skips, voids, pools, etc and make it easy to correct them during application. Apply the finish and distribute evenly and uniformly with the Dr. Schutz MicroFiber Roller cover, working in sections of a maximum of 3’ in width at right angles to the incoming source of light (i.e., parallel to the window wall) and then roll it out evenly towards the light. Avoid the formation of pools or puddles. Allow a minimum of 2 hours drying time but not more than 24 hours before applying the next coat. The Slipnomor Finish mixture should always be remixed to keep the Slipnomor additive evenly dispersed before pouring into paint roller pan.
Waxnomor Application – 2nd Coat: After allowing 2 hours of drying time, apply a second coat of Waxnomor Finish, without adding the Slipnomor additive and following the instructions above. The floor can be walked on if caution is used 12 hours after the application of the final Waxnomor coating. The protective finish reaches its final level of hardness after approximately 4-7 days at room temperature.
Notes:

Once mixed, the mixture of Waxnomor Finish, Cross Linker and Slipnomor Additive is suitable for use for approximately 4 hours at the prescribed working temperature of 60-75°F. For this reason, only mix the quantity of sealer that can be applied within this period of time. When you mix smaller quantities, mix Waxnomor Finish and Cross Linker using a ratio of 10:1 (10 parts Waxnomor to 1 part Cross Linker) and reduce the Slipnomor additive accordingly.

Where the Finish and Cross linker are subjected to higher temperatures, the working time is reduced considerably. In case of cold components, the mixing procedure cannot be performed sufficiently.

Do not tightly seal the canister containing ready-mixed finish since the Waxnomor Finish /cross linker mixture can, over time, react in the canister resulting in the build-up of reactive gases.

Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation but avoid exposure to drafts and strong sunlight during application and drying processes and protect the surface from dust.

Turn off Radiant Floor Heating prior to application and gradually return to normal temperature after application.

For surfaces with non-removable factory-applied polyurethane (PU) treatment which are fully clean and without residue, Scuff the surface with the Dr. Schutz Renovator Pad to remove gloss while cleaning surface with the Dr. Schutz cleaner, before application of Waxnomor & with the Slipnomor additive.

Avoid contact of cross linker and mixed sealer with skin. Wear suitable gloves. Always confirm acceptable Use by Date on cross linker for best results (cross linker may be used 4 months beyond date on cross linker). Consult the Safety Data Sheet for more information.

Store Waxnomor Finish in a dry place in its closed original container at temperatures between 60°C and 80°F. Keep locked up and out of the reach of children. The cross linker must not be allowed to come into contact with moisture. Once opened, re-seal the canister tightly immediately after mixing the product and use up remaining quantities as quickly as possible after opening.
