CARE OF ROPPE RUBBER FLOORS
Environmentally Friendly Process


THESE PROCEDURES AND RECOMMENDATIONS APPLY ONLY TO “ROPPE” FLOORS. ALL PRODUCTS RECOMMENDED ARE MANUFACTURED BY SPARTAN CHEMICAL COMPANY, INC.

NEW ROPPE FLOOR:
1. New Roppe floors contain a mold release from the manufacturing process, which must be removed for proper finish adhesion. To remove scrub with Spartan Green Solutions Floor Finish Remover and a 175 rpm single disk machine equipped with a brush if the floor has a surface profile or a pad if the floor is smooth.
2. Pick up solution with a wet/dry vacuum.
3. Rinse with clear water and pick up rinse water with a wet/dry vacuum and allow floor to dry.
4. Test for adhesion by applying Spartan Green Solutions Floor Seal & Finish to a small area with a sponge. If the finish pulls back and does not level out, repeat from step 1. If the finish does level, apply 1-3 coats of Spartan Green Solutions Floor Seal & Finish. Apply products in very thin coats to avoid puddles.

OLDER ROPPE FLOOR:
1. If the floor is not new and has floor finish on it, strip with Spartan Green Solutions Floor Finish Remover, using a 175 rpm single disk machine equipped with a 175 rpm single disk machine equipped with a brush if the floor has a surface profile or a pad if the floor is smooth. Pick up the solution with a wet/dry vacuum.
2. Rinse with clear water and pick up rinse water with a wet/dry vacuum and allow floor to dry.
3. Apply 1-3 coats of Spartan Green Solutions Floor Seal & Finish. Apply products in very thin coats to avoid puddles.


WHEN THE FLOOR NEEDS CLEANING:
1. Vacuum to remove sand and grit on floors with a surface profile. Dust mop smooth floors with a Bona Dusting Pad on a Bona Mop. (Bona Mop & dusting pad available in several sizes.)
2. Damp mop floor with Spartan Green Solutions All Purpose Cleaner. An autoscrubber may be used for cleaning.
